Meet the Team
Ian joined Wallwork in 1986, working in Engineering, Processing, process management and management across various sites in the group, before joining the Wallwork heat treatment board in 2008, and then subsequently WHT Holdings in 2018, taking on the Joint CEO role in 2020. Ian is a qualified metallurgist.
Simeon joined Wallwork in 1994, working in Engineering, Processing, sales and management across various sites in the group, before joining the Wallwork heat treatment board in 2008, and then subsequently WHT Holdings in 2018, taking on the Joint CEO role in 2020. Simeon has a B.Eng in Electrical and Electronic engineering, and Master of Business administration.
Luke joined Wallwork in 2005 working in production as part of the heat treatment processing team. After a period working in the sales department, Luke spent some time at the Birmingham facility before joining the board and relocating to Wallwork Newcastle in 2017 as site director. Luke has a B.Eng in Engineering, and a B.Eng in Metallurgy and Materials.
James joined Wallwork Heat Treatment in 2014 as a chemical engineer, working across a range of projects and gradually taking on more responsibilities in both production and management. He has contributed to the aerospace department, helped set up the Newcastle site, and led the implementation of the HIP department. James is also focused on working closely with customers to ensure their requirements are met.
Mike began his engineering career when he joined Wallwork in 1990. After becoming a time served Electrical Engineer, he moved on to Project Engineering around the sites before becoming Chief Engineer at Bury. In 2013, Mike took on the role of Engineering Director, overseeing group engineering activities and the Machine Build division.
Ian joined Wallwork in 2020 and his responsibilities include managing the financial performance of all 4 sites in the Wallwork group. Ian is a Chartered Accountant, who qualified with Ernst & Young, he has 40 years experience and has worked in a variety of industries, including distribution companies and healthcare.
Luke joined Wallwork in 2013 at the Manchester site, where he started as an IT Placement student. After completing his studies, Luke rejoined Wallwork, overseeing the IT department in Manchester for several years. In 2020, his role expanded to include responsibility for additional sister sites. Luke holds a BA in Computing in Business.
Steve joined Wallwork as a driver in March 1988 and steadily advanced through the company, discovering his passion for the art of heat treatment along the way. In 2004, he transitioned to the aerospace department during its early days, and he remains there today, serving as the Aerospace Production Manager.
Howard Joined Wallwork Bury as a driver back in June 1990, then shortly afterwards progressed into the factory to begin his Heat Treatment career. After gaining valuable shop floor experience over the next few years, he then moved into a Technical sales role in 2004, and was then promoted to Group Sales Manager in 2013.
Helen joined Wallwork Bury in January 2011 as a Quality Engineer with substantial materials engineering experience from her previous role. She was promoted to Quality Manager of Wallwork Bury in 2019. Qualifications: M.Eng (Materials Engineering from the Univerisity of Sheffield), C.Eng, MIMMM.
Craig joined Wallwork Bury in November 2011 with a B.Eng in Manufacturing Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University. After applying for the role of Engineering Supervisor he gained substantial experience working with in engineering at Wallwork Bury. He Is now the engineering manager at Wallwork Bury with additional responsibilities at Wallwork Newcastle.
Alex has been with Wallwork since 2004, bringing with him a solid background in engineering and mechanical services. Through comprehensive training and development provided by Wallwork, Alex has gained in-depth expertise in the heat treatment and castings sector, making him a key contributor in this specialized field.
Jacob joined Wallwork Bury in 2018 with a background in Linguistics. Initially he focused on administration and front-of-house, before moving into the commercial contract review team where he gained substantial technical knowledge. Now he works in the technical sales dept. providing quotes and advising on jobs as needed. Jacob holds a BSc in Linguistics.
Tim joined Wallwork in 1988, to help launch and develop the then new Birmingham site. Tim took on the Quality manager’s role, and then moved into day to day management of the site, before joining the Wallwork board in 2014, and subsequently taking a more senior role within the group. Tim is a qualified metallurgist.
Craig has been with Wallwork since 1993, contributing to key areas like transport, production, and management. He holds a Bachelor's in Management and an MBA, enhancing his expertise. Appointed to the board in 2017, Craig continues to drive the company's growth, ensuring its success and upholding its values within the industry
Paul joined Wallwork at Bury in September 1995 with a B.Eng. in Metallurgy and Materials Science from The University of Liverpool. After applying for the role of Trainee Heat Treatment Supervisor he gained substantial experience working in the Laboratory, Sales, processing and Production Management roles at Wallwork. Paul was appointed Technical Director of the Birmingham site in 2017.
Richard joined Wallwork in 2006, taking on a technical sales role after 17 years with Essex Heat Treatments (EHT). For the last 10 of those years, he served as Works Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. Prior to EHT, Richard spent the first seven years of his career at RHP Bearings in Chelmsford, working as a production trainee in the Heat Treatment section of the factory.
Kaf joined Wallwork in 1989 to help launch and develop the Birmingham site. His knowledge in Electrical and Computer control allowed him to develop most of the control systems for most of the sites, including the OEM sectors of the business. This has also allowed the group to manufacture bespoke machines.
Andy is the Site Director at Wallwork Cambridge Ltd. Commencing his employment in 2005, Andy has worked in nearly all the process areas within the business: Coatings Production, Sales, Research & Development (leading a number of funded projects), Quality, Vacuum Brazing and overall site management, being promoted to Director in 2017. Andy is part of the senior leadership team responsible for Group Electricity and Gas strategy. Andy has a Masters Degree in Astrophysics.

Craig joined Wallwork Cambridge in 1999 having worked for 10 years previously in the automotive supply chain. He initially started as a PVD Coatings operator, rapidly becoming Shift Leader and then Coatings Manager. He then progressed to his current role which involves supporting the Managers in Coatings, Vacuum Brazing, Transport and Heat Treatment. Craig is passionate about ensuring Wallwork’s long-term success
Alex started as Wallwork Cambridge Quality Manager in April 2020 having worked in metal engineering industries since 2002. Over this period he has managed gaining accreditations such as ISO TS16949, ISO 29001 and maintained Nadcap & AS9100 accreditations covering many aspects of metal engineering such as: salt bath (neutral, Tufftride, Cyanide), HIP, sealed quench, cryogenic, vacuum, vacuum brazing, plasma & gas nitriding, PVD & CVD coatings and electron beam welding, together with associated testing including mechanical testing to ISO 17025.
Chris Joined Wallwork Cambridge in 2005, having previously worked in the optical media industry with experience of Magnetron sputter coating. Initially working in the main EBPVD coating production before moving to run and grow the PECVD Carbon Coatings department. Now working closely alongside all production departments, collaborating closely to develop and innovative processes and equipment for both customer and internal projects. With a love for Motorsports and all things mechanical he loves the challenges that such a varied process and customer base brings.
Andy joined Wallwork in February 2013 as a driver at the Cambridge site before moving in to a production role in the Vacuum heat treatment and plasma nitriding department. In January 2019, Andy moved in to a technical sales role, focusing on niche markets and processes such as motorsport, plasma nitriding, vacuum heat treatment and hot isostatic pressing.
Brett joined Wallwork Cambridge in 2013, as part of the sales team, with 20 years of expereince in engineering and manufacturing. Specialising in PVD coatings and vacuum brazing, Brett is passionate about delivering a top-notch service and innovating solutions.
Dawid joined Wallwork Cambridge in August 2007, right after graduating from college as an electronics technician. Initially he started as a PVD technician rapidly becoming coating operator then gradually gaining experience, in March 2015 he was promoted to shift supervisor. He then progressed to his current role as a Coatings Manager.
Roy joined Wallwork Cambridge in March 2006 as a Brazing Technician, bringing with him 17 years of experience from his role as a Furnace/Brazing Charge Hand with Thermal Processing Group Ltd. He now has a total of 35 years of expertise in brazing, heat treatment, and TIG welding.

Luke joined Wallwork in 2005 working in production as part of the heat treatment processing team. Josh joined Wallwork Newcastle in May 2018 with an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Birmingham. After gaining experience across the site, working in the laboratory, Quality and Processing, he became the Wallwork Newcastle Site Manager in February 2022
James joined Wallwork Newcastle in August 2024 with a B.Eng in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering from The University Centre at Newcastle College. After applying for the role of Metallurgist he gained experience working in the Laboratory, Production Management and Processing roles at Wallwork.
Malcolm joined the Newcastle site in 2006 as Quality Manager, bringing with him 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. After two years, he transitioned into production, where he has continued to make significant contributions. Following Wallwork's acquisition of the site in 2017, Malcolm has remained a key figure, working closely with the production team and engaging with customers.
James joined Wallwork Heat Treatment in 2014 as a chemical engineer, working across a range of projects and gradually taking on more responsibilities in both production and management. David has 15 years’ commercial and general management experience within HIP, heat and surface treatment businesses. Since 2015 David has been focussed on HIP, helping customers within Aerospace, Formula 1, Industrial Gas Turbine, Medical, Tooling and several other technically demanding markets, improving parts using HIP technology.
Andy joined Wallwork in February 2013 as a driver at the Cambridge site before moving in to a production role in the Vacuum heat treatment and plasma nitriding department. In January 2019, Andy moved in to a technical sales role, focusing on niche markets and processes such as motorsport, plasma nitriding, vacuum heat treatment and hot isostatic pressing.
Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, James typifies the new generation of engineers that will ensure the continuing success of Wallwork. Joining us in 2019, as an engineer, he has quickly progressed to be a production / project engineer in 2023. Mainly focused on the Vacuum Carburising sector of the business – directly communicating and working with customers, processing their work to the highest standards. James is now bringing his growing experience to the Wallwork HIP Centre, with the aim of project managing in the near future.
Joining Wallwork in ’89 as a foundryman, Jonathan brings over three decades of diverse expertise across the company. With roles spanning transport, heat treatment, sales and contract review, his extensive experience underscores his invaluable contribution to various departments. His recent foray into Wallwork HIP Centre further demonstrates his adaptability and commitment to advancing the company’s capabilities.
